UPstairs
Better Chances for Children of our Employees
Education is a “luxury” not all families can afford. Too often children who are ready to take the next step in their schooling – whether it’s switching to a higher caliber school or moving on to secondary school or university – are ultimately rendered unable to do so for financial reasons.
With the newly established UPstairs scholarship program Deutsche Post DHL helps employee families who find themselves in this predicament by providing financial assistance as well as other supporting services for the education of their children.

Better Chances for Children of our Employees
The scholarship program UPstairs gives children of employees the opportunity to pursue higher levels of education otherwise financially out of reach.
UPstairs scholarship holders receive a monthly stipend. Financial assistance is just one aspect of the program, however.
It also offers individual services to each child, such as mentoring by a company employee, an internship at a Deutsche Post DHL branch as well as further learning opportunities. The duration of the scholarship is generally three years. In 2010, UPstairs is piloted in South Africa, Indonesia, Mexico and Romania.
