DHL delivers F1™ freight to Bahrain for the 2010 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix



Five 747s and 35 containers arriving in Bahrain for the first F1™ race of the 2010 season.
On average 300 tons of materials and equipment moved to overseas races.

Five 747s and 35 containers (five 20ft; 30 40ft) carrying freight for the 2010 Formula 1™ Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix are arriving this week for the first race of the 2010 season, 2010 Formula 1™ Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, which is  taking place from 12 - 14 March. F1™ freight is handled centrally by Formula One Management (FOM) and DHL, its official logistics partner.

After the February 27th earthquake: DHL EXPRESS resumes basic service in Chile’s principal regions



After intense work, the multinational delivery company initiated operations in nine of the country’s thirteen regions, hoping to restart international services as soon as operations normalize at the Chilean capital’s airport.

DHL invests in new fuel-efficient trucks

The Group enters into frame agreement with Volvo Trucks for delivery of 1,800 trucks in the UK, Finland and Sweden.

DHL and Volvo Trucks have signed a frame agreement to supply 1,800 new trucks. The new vehicles will be delivered to the UK, Finland and Sweden within the next two years and will primarily cover Express, Freight and Supply Chain operations.

DHL to donate former principal U.S. Air Hub to Community in Southwest Ohio

DHL and the Clinton County Port Authority (CCPA), today announced their preliminary agreement on the essential business terms for the donation of DHL's former principal U.S. express hub to the local community of Wilmington, Ohio U.S.A., for redevelopment and future use of the site as an airport/commerce park. DHL all the rage at Berlin’s Fashion Week

DHL to deploy Disaster Response Team to Haiti to provide emergency logistics support

DHL has sent in the first logistics team for on-the-ground logistics support to the international relief effort in Haiti. The DHL Disaster Response Team (DRT) Americas is preparing to operate out of Toussaint L'ouverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince to manage the logistics and thereby ensure the continuous flow of inbound freight at the airport, including the transfer and distribution of incoming relief goods, once roads are stable. DHL Transports Endangered Rhinoceros

DHL has helped transport four rhinoceros of a very rare subspecies on the brink of extinction from the Czech Republic to Kenya, where they will hopefully reproduce in the wild. There are only four other Northern White Rhinos in captivity, two more in the Czech Republic and two in San Diego. Other Northern White Rhinos are not known to be alive in the wild.
