Fashion Week Livens Up London

London may be known for its wet and foggy weather but when it comes to fashion, the designers here won’t leave you standing out in the rain. There’s more to fashion than the stereotypical Macintosh-and-Wellies look allows.

On the catwalk for London Fashion Week, the designers’ penchant is for colors and prints bold enough to make anyone forget the city’s notorious gray days. Eggplant, turquoise, neon pink – the entire palette is in style this season.

"With its innovative designers, cutting edge street style and catwalk pizzazz, it's no wonder London has been voted fashion capital of the world,” Boris Johnson, Mayor of London said, echoing the sentiments of many of this year’s Fashion Week attendees. That cutting edge street style was taken to a whole new level, too, as models across the city donned the red-and-yellow polos of the DHL delivery team and stepped out to give customers a taste of the fashion event while delivering their packages.

As Official Logistics Partner, DHL also ferried essential equipment to and from nearly 100 different showings over the week. It’s just one of the ways DHL is showcasing their mastery of the fashion supply chain – something that top designers like Michael Michalsky and local Vivienne Westwood have come to use and appreciate. London Fashion Week may end today, but you can still see all the looks that have been parading down the catwalk at www.londonfashionweek.co.uk!
