Canada Cool Takes Over Toronto

With the LG Toronto Fashion Week opening October 17th, Toronto continues its 25-season reign as the capital of Canada Cool.
Canada Cool is an appropriate theme as that’s what the shows this week are all about. Featuring niche boutique designers alongside big-name international mass market designers, Toronto’s runways will be displaying just how artful life in the great white north can be.
From the homegrown sister team of Chloe Comme Parris to the Brazilian-born Baby Steinberg, the diversity of designers reflects the city’s own diversity. And its youth. Many of those on tap to show are just starting out, and their designs reflect the daring of the young.
Canada may not be the first country of fashion but the Toronto shows are the ones to watch.
