Formula 1™ roars into India

As Formula 1 prepares to make its debut in up-and-coming India, DHL is airing 180-second previews to tell people about the history of and DHL’s partnership with the sport. Have a look at what’s playing on Indian TV here!

So let the speed, power and passion of Formula 1™ in India begin.” With these words, DHL Express CEO Ken Allen opens the latest DHL Formula 1™ advertorial, ushering in a new era in DHL’s partnership with the world’s premier motor racing event.

The 2011 FORMULA 1™ AIRTEL GRAND PRIX OF INDIA will take place in New Delhi from October 28 to 30. Some 120,000 fans are expected in the stands for this historic inaugural race, with millions more following the action around the world.

Animated preview of Indian racetrack

The Indian Grand Prix will be raced on the brand-new Buddh International Circuit located just south of New Delhi. The track showcases two long straight-aways and a notable mix of corners that should encourage overtaking and provide for an exciting, high-speed battle. It could prove to be one of the fastest circuits on the 2011 calendar.

In collaboration with Red Bull, DHL is presenting an animated preview of the new race course, with commentary by Formula 1™ drivers. Check out the preview here with commentary by 2011 World Champion Sebastian Vettel.
