Celebrities Celebrate Swiss Style at Fashion Days Zürich

In a fitting conclusion to a fantastic season, Fashion Days Zürich wrapped up the continent’s fashion shows last week with a four-day, celebrity-filled affair.

With temperatures steadily near freezing, Oakley’s showcase of its snowboarding gear in collaboration with pro snowboarder Eero Ettala felt totally appropriate – even if the show was held indoors in the cavernous Giessereihalle.

Collections by Hugo Boss, Scotch & Soda/Maison Scotch and Levi’s were also on display in the Giessereihalle, along with a new line for Biaggini Violett created by actress Penelope Cruz and her sister Monica.

Cruz wasn’t the only big name to take to the stage. In an event highlight, German actor and director Til Schweiger presented his first collection, personally modelling the menswear before handing over the stage to singer Sarah Connor.

Mister Switzerland also put in an appearance, helping a couple of lovely young ladies down the runway as part of the kids’ clothing show – an element unique to the Swiss fashion scene.

Though Fashion Days Zürich was smaller than some – nowhere near the 100 runway happenings at each of the Big 4 Fashion Weeks – the logistics for such a large-scale fashion event require some serious choreography. That’s where DHL, the Official Logistics Partner for 23 Fashion Weeks each year comes in.

With the poise and confidence of a supermodel on the catwalk, we coordinate everything from the arrival of the haute couture down to the set up of the stage.
