Thailand Welcomes Champ19ns Trophy Tour

DHL delivers Manchester United’s Champ19ns Trophy Tour to Bangkok, Thailand, where fans got an up-close-and-personal look at the coveted trophy and DHL employees and customers got to kick around with Manchester United legends.

The English Premier League trophy made its way east to Thailand for a stop in Bangkok on February 10. Manchester United legends, Bryan Robson and Paul Parker spent much of their day signing autographs, posing for photographs and talking with excited fans about what it’s like to play for the most popular football club in the world. And of course many had the opportunity to have their photos taken with one of the most coveted prizes in world football – the English Premier League trophy.

The Manchester United legends also brought the trophy to an exclusive event at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel to give DHL employees and customers a special treat.

The evening’s highlight had to be the friendly “Legends Match.” Teaming up with DHL employees, the Manchester United legends took on a Thai Legends team that comprised Commander-in-Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha, former Head Coach of the Thai National Football team, Charnwit Polcheewin, as well as members of the local Manchester United Fan Club. It was a match the participants won’t easily forget!

DHL Express Thailand also invited local heavyweights to MC the event. Celebrity Thai sport news presenter and commentator, Sathit Krikul (“Lung Nuad,”) and famous columnist, “Boh Bu” took the microphone for the evening’s festivities and gave the audience a play-by-play commentary during the Legends Match.
