DHL logistics support for Osaka Asian Film Festival 2010

DHL, the world’s leading express company, has been named the official courier for the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2010 (OAFF) for the second consecutive year. DHL Express Japan transported films and provided other logistics support for this celebration of Asian film in Osaka, Japan from 6 to 14 March.

Under the theme "From Osaka to the Asian Countries!", the festival promotes movie culture within the city of Osaka and provides filmmakers and fans with a forum for exchanging information through film and other means. The fifth edition of this annual event will feature a wide range of top-quality films, many of which will be screened in Japan for the first time.

This is the second year in which DHL, the international express market leader in Japan and Asia, will support OAFF's mission to strengthen cultural exchange between Japan and other Asian countries.

Taketo Yamakawa, President and Representative Director of DHL Express Japan, said, "DHL has continued to grow by forging close relationships in regions worldwide, offering services tailored to local customs and cultures in more than 220 countries and territories. We are truly honored to provide logistics support to the prestigious Osaka Asian Film Festival again this year. Going forward, we will continue to leverage our robust network to help foster further economic and cultural exchange throughout Asia."

A variety of other programs are planned, including screening films by up-and-coming Asian filmmakers, the Asian Meeting Osaka to help young directors expand their personal and professional networks in Asia, and a symposium in which leading Asian film personalities will serve as panelists to discuss the future of Asian films.
