“We are DHL“ – Dutch employee writes rap track inspired by the new global brand campaign.
One of the DHL call center agents in the Netherlands, Ilkin Eivazov, recently confronted his supervisor Maaike de Wit with a demo of a rap in which he demonstrates the company’s passion for its customers.
When Customer Service Director Angéline Maas heard about the rap, she immediately recognized the motivational value and came up with the idea to produce a video clip.
A rap song about DHL showing the passion of an employee for his job – that had not been done before at DHL. The DHL Communications team took up the idea and also produced an English language version.
DHL planned the launch of the clip to be part of the launch of the Global Brand Campaign and the introduction of the new claim „Excellence. Simply Delivered.“, which is also quoted in the clip.
The rap is very well received by the DHL employees and not only by the Dutch ones. It underlines what DHL stands for as a company, and especially illustrates how much fun it can be to work there. A nice way of showing what is meant by „Excellence. Simply Delivered.“.
