YAHOO!

That about sums it up for Sean Fitzpatrick, DHL’s Rugby Ambassador. Here’s his final entry at the end of an exciting Rugby World Cup final that was gripping up to the last seconds.

Eden Park in Auckland was a very special place to be on Sunday as we celebrated the crowning of the new world champions – New Zealand – after their 8-7 win over France. I don’t think I have ever experienced an atmosphere in a stadium anywhere in the world like that. And it was just the same throughout the entire country.

Last week we were looking for the neighbour country of this year´s Rugby World Cup hosting nation: "Sanzar is a joint venture between the rugby unions of South Africa, New Zealand and this country, which has the longest continuous fence in the world" - this was our weekly hint and it of course is, AUSTRALIA!

Congratulations to:  Brian B., Errol H. and Joel B., our lucky winners!

Things certainly remain exciting: only one more week to go until the great Rugby World Cup Final and until the last and final draw of the Rugby quiz - we are delighted how many of you participated up to now. Keep up the spirit and play one last time!

And did you know that...

Australia ranks No.9 worldwide for chocolate consumption and No. 11 for sugar confectionary. Nine out of 10 Australians regularly consume confectionery, 80 percent of which is in the chocolate and sugar categories. DHL Supply Chain’s newest consumer operation looks after a great deal of this volume. In addition to major customer Lindt and Sprüngli, DHL also looks after close to 50 percent of all confectionery lines in Aldi on behalf of a number of premier German confectionery manufacturers.

Good luck for the last week of our Rugby quiz!

Numerous of you sent in the right answer, among those luck decided for our three weekly winners: Leandri B., Rene P.-B., Dominic T.!

The final spurt of our Rugby quiz is in full swing, only two more weeks until the World Cups final and our final draw. There is still the chance to win one of three Rugby items autographed by famours Rugby Legend Sean Fitzpatrick!

There is only one right answer to this question: Japan!

Congrats to all of you who knew or didn’t know and picked the right answer anyway.

Among all of you who chose Japan as the right answer luck decided for our three weekly winners: David S., Majon W., Denisa F.

Enjoy your prizes and keep up the spirit. We have a couple more questions coming for you to prove your Rugby expertise.

By the way, did you know that...

DHL Express Japan provided logistics support to send a 100-meter long, 2,000 kg carp-shaped streamer, known as a koinobori, a streamer hung outside homes to celebrate Children’s Day in Japan, for a pre-World Cup event in Germany in 2006.

Everything is possible

DHL Global Rugby Ambassador, Sean Fitzpatrick, looks back at the past weekend of Rugby action.

If the first part of the Rugby World Cup was marked by a few surprises and some questions being asked about the top teams, I think the last few days has shown that the favorites – New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England and Ireland – are beginning to crank up their acts.
