A flying change

At DHL, we love a challenge. In 2006, Thai Airways asked us to shift an entire airline – within just a few hours of the new airport’s opening.

The task: relocation of the airline’s entire operations from Don Muang Airport to Bangkok’s new international and domestic hub, Suvernabhumi Airport. The overnight race against the clock involved more than 400 DHL employees, 600 flatbed trailers and onsite support from the DGF Thailand management team.

It takes a great team – and plenty of “can do” spirit to accomplish such an epic feat of logistics.

DHL passed the test with flying colours.
