Customer Success Story
Keeping cool
From Finland to Denmark and on to Bahrain – in 2009, DHL Express accepted a cool challenge: the delivery of a 1,200 kg block of ice via Air Cargo Priority!
Destined for a corporate exhibition by Pétrole Gaz Maintenance Equipments – and an average temperature of 33.2° C (91.8° F) in the Gulf State’s desert climate – the chilled chunk’s transportation posed no small challenge to the experts at DHL. Completely unaided by any chemicals or external freezing measures, encased only in foil and wood, the huge block nevertheless reached its destination intact. All thanks to the great teamwork and coordination between the various Express entities involved in the well-choreographed delivery.
